Punahou had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They snuck past the Gig Harbor Tides with a 52-47 victory. The 52-point effort marked the Buff n' Blue's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Punahou pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Gig Harbor, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Punahou will venture away from home to take on Mid-Pacific Institute at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gig Harbor, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mount Tahoma at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
