Ponca extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 7-2. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 38-34 W against the Battle Creek Braves. The 38-point effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ponca's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mickenon Peterson, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 12 points. Thanks to that strong game, Peterson now owns an excellent 42.3% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Caden Cleveland, who posted eight points.

As for Battle Creek, they now have a losing record of 4-5. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Ponca: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, Battle Creek still got an impressive performance from Ryan Ponto, who scored nine points. Ponto is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Isaac Rudloff was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

Coincidentally, Ponca and Battle Creek will both be playing Crofton the next time they take the court. The Indians will host the Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Braves will head out to face them at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
