The O'Fallon Panthers will square off against the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (O'Fallon 3.8, Father McGivney Catholic 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when O'Fallon and Collinsville meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Kahoks.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Robertson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Father McGivney Catholic had already won 25 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it 26 on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with a 7-1 win. Considering the Griffins have won 21 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Justin Terhaar was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Omar Avalos, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Father McGivney Catholic pushed their record up to 28-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for O'Fallon, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. O'Fallon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Father McGivney Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .505. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
O'Fallon beat Father McGivney Catholic 4-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Griffins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
