Normal University is headed out to face Bloomington after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Normal University blew past Manual, posting a 64-28 victory at home. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Rams are ranked 399th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alek Weiland was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. AJ Holden was in the mix as well, providing Normal University with two receiving touchdowns touchdowns.

Rob Lanier had a dynamite game for Bloomington, rushing for 70 yards and four touchdowns, while also picking up 61 receiving yards and a touchdown. Lanier got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of61 yards.
