There's no place like home for the University Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Metropolitan Learning Center on Tuesday. For University, this counts as revenge for the 60-54 loss Metropolitan Learning Center walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Leading University to victory were Kevin Murray Jr and Malik Rich. Murray Jr scored six points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks, while Rich scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Rich has scored at least 25% of University's points. Another player making a difference was Ka'Ron Wright, who scored four points along with five assists and three steals.
University pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Metropolitan Learning Center, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
University will head out on the road to face off against Metropolitan Learning Center at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Metropolitan Learning Center, they will be playing at home against University at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully University focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
