The Silver Valley Trojans entered their tilt with the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle with 15 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 16. Silver Valley simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Academy of Careers & Exploration 95-33 at home. Silver Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Jasean Phillips continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Javion Taylor was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Silver Valley's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points per game. As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
Silver Valley will play host again and welcome PAL Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. PAL Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Academy of Careers & Exploration on the road again on Tuesday and play against Lucerne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Lucerne Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 39 last Tuesday.
