For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Windjammers have suffered since May 10, 2024.
Walker Hedrich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Camden Hills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Young, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 9-3. As for Camden Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Medomak Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Camden Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
