The Catoctin Cougars put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clear Spring 61-20 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Catoctin has managed all season.
Kylie Perhach was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Williams, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Catoctin pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Clear Spring, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Catoctin and Clarksburg will round out the year against one another at 9:00 p.m. on December 29th at. Clarksburg is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Clear Spring will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middletown on January 2, 2024.
