Cameron entered their tilt with Cumberland on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Beavers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Emerson Krahenbuhl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. She also set a new season-high mark in RBI with five.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Dexter, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Rayna Schroeder was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Cameron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive games.

Cameron's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Cumberland, they now have a losing record of 10-11-1.

Cameron will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Beavers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
