The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Berean Christian in their matchups with the Ugly Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, College Park came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Alhambra and snuck past 41-38. Despite the win, that was the fewest points College Park has scored all season.
Miles Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Connor Whittles, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds and two steals.
Berean Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for College Park, the win got them back to even at 13-13.
Berean Christian was taken down by the Falcons 76-48 in their previous matchup last Friday. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Berean Christian was down 52-23.
