Bearden waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions by a score of 8-5. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Bearden pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bearden will take on Macon County in a tournament on Friday. Bearden's pitchers better be ready for this one: Macon County has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they will challenge University School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
