The Contreras Cobras lost against the Bernstein Dragons back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Contreras was beaten by Bernstein 50-19. Contreras was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-7.
Despite the loss, Contreras had strong showings from Cody Nunez, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and Supavit Jaithieng, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Nunez is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played.
Contreras' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Bernstein, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Contreras will be playing at home against Roybal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Roybal will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Bernstein, they will head out on the road to face off against Hollywood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hollywood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
