Adding to the longest winning streak in A-8 East - Black Forest (8 Man) this week, Simla beat Miami-Yoder 72-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Cubs.
Simla took down the Buffaloes 72-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cody Norris threw for 39 yards and ran for 117 yards in the win.
Kiowa's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Steven Mizak threw for 197 and 4 touchdowns and Caleb Smith had 119 yards receiving. On the ground Jack Thomas chipped in 142 yards.
The Indians' dynamic duo of Mizak and Smith proved to be unstoppable against Elbert, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Lonny Trehal was a key player and the best on defense this week as Kiowa beat the Bulldogs. The 5-foot-8 senior.
He was 8-12 with 0 interception.
Shane Zimmerman's team's Norris and Kyler Hamacher led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Norris has thrown for 482 yards this season, while Hamacher, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 12 catches for 245 yards. Mark Clemmons' team's Thomas leads the league in rushing yards with 555.
As it stands, the Indians are in second, while Pikes Peak Christian is in third.
The Cubs led the league in scoring this week after putting up 72 points on Miami-Yoder. Norris ran for 117 yards during the win.
