Mentor extended the longest winning streak in Northeast Ohio - Valley this week by beating Harding, 45-35. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Mentor led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on the Raiders. Mitch Trubisky threw for 356 yards and five touchdowns and ran for 94 yards in the win.
Steve Trivisonno's team's Trubisky and Brandon Fritts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Trubisky has thrown for 2826 yards this season, while Fritts, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 45 catches for 845 yards. Brunswick's Nick Roberts leads the league in rushing yards with 866.
Solon made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,385 from 2,556.
