The Heide Trask Titans will challenge the Dixon Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Heide Trask sitting on four straight wins and Dixon on three.
Heide Trask is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 26-6 margin over Hobbton on Friday. Fans of the Titans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Makayla Smith was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Shelby Groves was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Smith wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Heide Trask kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, everything went Dixon's way against East Carteret on Tuesday as Dixon made off with an 11-1 victory. The Bulldogs are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the third game they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Kailei Dawsey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Dixon let Alivia Nokes and Lilly Keeling run wild. Nokes went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Keeling got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That triple was Nokes' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hudak, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Dixon pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Heide Trask, their record is now 4-0.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Heide Trask hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .526. However, it's not like Dixon struggles in that department as they've averaged .341. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Heide Trask beat Dixon 7-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Heide Trask repeat their success, or does Dixon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
