Lehi is 2-7 against Pleasant Grove since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lehi Pioneers will look to defend their home court against the Pleasant Grove Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Tuesday, Lehi faced Lone Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lehi was outmatched by Lone Peak at home and fell 64-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lehi has scored all season.
Defeat or not, Lehi got some senior leadership from Hadlie Warren and Kinly Faux. Warren scored nine points, while Faux. scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 55-45 to Skyridge. Pleasant Grove has struggled against Skyridge recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Lehi's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Pleasant Grove, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
Lehi took their victory against Pleasant Grove in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 by a conclusive 68-43. Does Lehi have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pleasant Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
