Cleveland (Miss.) 42-19 on the strength of a superb game by dual threat quarterback
Devin Thomas, who threw two touchdown passes while running for two more.
After taking the lead on a
Rashun Rockette touchdown run in the first quarter, the Commodores were up 28-13 at the half.
Lafayette grew its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. LHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Thomas.
A 7-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Oxford school, as it pushed the final margin of victory to 23.
The loss comes after Cleveland defeated Rosa Fort 22-17 last week. The loss broke Cleveland's three-game winning streak.
