Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Lake Buena Vista turned things around against Edgewater on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vipers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kiersten Blanchard made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Lake Buena Vista let Giselle Santos Rosario and Julianys Vega run wild. Santos Rosario went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Vega went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Vega a new career-high. Zulmarie Vega was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Lake Buena Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Poinciana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-0 to Tohopekaliga.
Poinciana saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Figueroa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Poinciana's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lake Buena Vista, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lake Buena Vista has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Poinciana struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
