Thomas Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat New Life Christian Academy 70-20 at home. That 50 points margin sets a new team best for Thomas Academy this season.
Falcon Christian Academy posted their biggest win since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They really took it to Heritage Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-46 win at home. Given Falcon Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Heritage Christian Academy is ranked 661st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan McMillian was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with nine assists and five steals. He hasn't dropped below eight assists for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre Glenn, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Thomas Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Falcon Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.
Thomas Academy took a serious blow against Falcon Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 75-28. Can Thomas Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
