On Saturday, The Sacred Heart of Jesus Knights faced the Tennessee Heat in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sacred Heart of Jesus was outmatched by Tennessee Heat on the road and fell 41-6. Sacred Heart of Jesus has struggled against Tennessee Heat recently, as their match on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Tennessee Heat found their leader in underclassman Wyatt Sutton, who picked up 77 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Luke Mathews, who threw for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
Tennessee Heat's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Sacred Heart of Jesus' QB won't forget Nate Williams anytime soon given Williams sacked him four times.
Sacred Heart of Jesus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Tennessee Heat, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Sacred Heart of Jesus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tennessee Heat will face off against Freedom C at TBD on Saturday. Freedom C is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
