After four games on the road, North Harrison is heading back home. They will take on the Winston Red Birds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, North Harrison was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Gilman City. North Harrison has not had much luck with Gilman City recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Keygun Johnson, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. He scored a full 38.9% of North Harrison's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jerry Gilpatrick, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Winston's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 54-32 defeat at the hands of North Harrison.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-3.
North Harrison took their victory against Winston when the teams last played on Wednesday by a conclusive 54-32. Will North Harrison repeat their success, or does Winston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
