Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Monday Jones sidestepped Washington Montessori for  a  3-2 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
 Jones had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 13-25, 24-26, 25-11, 25-10,  15-9.
 Lejeune's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Jones,  the  victory  got them back to even at 8-8.
