Hardin County dropped down to 9-9 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Lawrence County Wildcats, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Lawrence County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Lawrence County, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Lawrence County's part, Logan Mays was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Jack Emerson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
