Central and Lebanon are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Central Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Lebanon Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
Even though Central has not done well against Parkview recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Central took down Parkview 68-52.
Meanwhile, Lebanon pushed their score all the way to 79 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-79 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glendale. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lebanon in their matchups with Glendale: they've now lost six in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kory Hough, who scored 21 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Ray, who scored 21 points along with three steals.
Lebanon struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
Central beat Lebanon 91-82 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
