After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Farmville Central, Greene Central was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the North Lenoir Hawks as the Greene Central Rams made off with a 57-34 victory. The Rams have beaten the Hawks the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hawks has come to flipping the script.

Greene Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deitrich Williams led the charge by putting up eight points and four steals. Williams has become a key player for Greene Central: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 5-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Avent, who posted 11 points.

Greene Central's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for North Lenoir, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.
