The Leesville Road Pride will challenge the Jordan Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leesville Road is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Ben Fields made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Will Matthews also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Jordan gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Chapel Hill by a score of 10-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Carson Hickey looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Jordan is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise.
At the plate, Jordan got a big performance out of Frankie Gilchrist, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Logan Greene was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Jordan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Jordan's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Leesville Road, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Leesville Road has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Jordan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Leesville Road's way against Jordan in their previous meeting on March 10th, as Leesville Road made off with a 14-4 win. Will Leesville Road repeat their success, or does Jordan has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
