The Sierra Linda Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 57-46 to Central. Sierra Linda has struggled against the Bobcats recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Sierra Linda saw an underclassman step up: Shania Holmes scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holmes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kalea Jackson, who scored eight points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shakeira Mosley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Mosley pulled down eight or more rebounds. Lia Sims was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds.
Sierra Linda has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season. As for Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-14 record this season.
Sierra Linda is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Rattlers at 5:30 p.m. on February 1st. As for Central, they will be playing at home against the Coyotes at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Centennial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
