Meanwhile, Merrill waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 14-7 win. Considering the Vandals have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Coleman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Merrill, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
