Del Mar is on a three-game streak of home losses, Overfelt a 12-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Del Mar Dons will take on the Overfelt Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Del Mar's game on Wednesday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Pleasant.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-27, which was the final score in Overfelt's tilt against San Jose on Wednesday.
Del Mar has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Overfelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
Everything went Del Mar's way against Overfelt when the teams last played back in January as Del Mar made off with a 54-33 victory. Will Del Mar repeat their success, or does Overfelt have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
