Volleyball Recap: Ardmore Gets the Win

Ardmore won the last time they faced Elkmont and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Red Devils.

Ardmore had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-12.

Madalynn Woods paced Ardmore's offense, picking up 14 kills. Woods really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 21. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

Ardmore's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Elkmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Ardmore will venture away from home to square off against James Clemens at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkmont, they will square off against Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
