After a string of four wins, the Westover Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Hardaway, falling 86-28. Westover has struggled against Hardaway recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Jada Landers and Chasity Green certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Landers dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Green scored eight points. The match was Landers' 12th in a row with at least ten points.
Westover now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Hardaway, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Westover will take on Cairo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cairo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while Westover is ranked 149th). As for Hardaway, they will head out on the road to face off against Shaw at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Shaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Saturday.
