After a string of three wins, the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sierra. Fountain-Fort Carson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sierra apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Malik Hall and Tre'sean Washington certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Hall dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Washington scored seven points. Hall also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Fountain-Fort Carson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2. As for Sierra, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fountain-Fort Carson will square off against Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Falcon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Sierra, they will head out on the road to face off against Pueblo Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pueblo Centennial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
