Vasquez is a perfect 10-0 against Trinity Classical Academy since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will host the Knights at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Vasquez has six straight victories, Trinity Classical Academy has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Vasquez barely beat Faith Baptist the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Contenders on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Madisyn Wharton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Daniella Escamilla, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Faith Nasrallah, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Vasquez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .538 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Trinity Classical Academy's offense. They lost 10-0 to Santa Clarita Christian on Tuesday.
Trinity Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Vasquez, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Vasquez has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .532. However, it's not like Trinity Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Vasquez got the 'W' in their previous meeting on Friday against Trinity Classical Academy by a conclusive 16-4 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
