The Brookwood Falcons lost against the Bangor Cardinals back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Brookwood took a hard 70-54 fall against Bangor.
Chase Horstman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bangor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. Horstman has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Michek, who scored 11 points.
Brookwood's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Bangor, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookwood will challenge Wauzeka-Steuben at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bangor, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Salem at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. West Salem knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Bangor likes a good challenge.
