Rain is 2-8 against Blount since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rain Red Raiders will be home for the holidays to greet the Blount Leopards at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-41, which was the final score in Rain's tilt against Mary G. Montgomery on Tuesday. Rain has struggled against Mary G. Montgomery recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Blount pushed their score all the way to 67 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Williamson by a score of 69-67. Blount has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jaiden Beck, who scored 26 points along with seven assists and four steals. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Williams, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five steals.
Rain's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Blount, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.
Rain ended up a good deal behind Blount in their previous matchup back in November, losing 61-45. Will Rain have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
