Basketball Recap: Christ Presbyterian Academy Takes a Loss

Christ Presbyterian Academy was the 57-41 winner over Ezell-Harding Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions fell to the Ezell-Harding Christian Eagles 59-53. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Eagles are ranked 16th).

Ezell-Harding Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zay Bridges led the charge by putting up 14 points along with six boards and three steals. Noah Kaufmann was another key player, posting 14 points.

Christ Presbyterian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ Presbyterian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Lipscomb Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lipscomb Academy will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Christ Presbyterian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, they will head out to square off against Mount Juliet Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ezell-Harding Christian is facing Mount Juliet Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Mount Juliet Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
