The Trinity Trojans suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were outmatched by Gilmour Academy on the road and fell 53-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trinity has scored all season.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Neva'eh Harrison, who scored seven points along with two steals. De'oshania Bennett was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Gilmour Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on Beaumont School at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Beaumont School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Saturday. As for Gilmour Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Richmond Heights at 7:00 p.m. Richmond Heights will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Gilmour Academy is ranked 31st).
