The Laurens Raiders will take on the Fountain Inn Fury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Laurens made up a huge gap compared to their last game against J.L. Mann, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Laurens put the hurt on J.L. Mann with a sharp 13-7 victory on Wednesday.

03/20/25 @ Westside | 2 |

The team relied heavily on Carly Edwards, who scored four runs and stole six bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Trevino, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Edwards wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Laurens kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Fountain Inn got the win against Travelers Rest on Thursday by a conclusive 11-1. That's two games straight that the Fury have won by exactly ten runs.
Halle Baker tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Bethany Brown and Zoey Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Brown scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Williams scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Williams posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Blakely Stoddard, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Fountain Inn pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Laurens, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Laurens hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .463. However, it's not like Fountain Inn struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Laurens beat Fountain Inn 12-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Laurens have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fountain Inn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
