Meanwhile, Yuma lost to Wiggins on the road by a 42-25 margin on Saturday. The Outlaws have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.
Jade Lungwitz was Yuma's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Bailey Nighswonger held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Carolina Ross took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Yuma now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Monte Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Monte Vista has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Yuma struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28 rebounds.
