Despite the defeat, Monte Vista had strong showings from Hannah Henderhan, who posted five points and seven boards, and Daylin Castro, who earned four points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. Castro has become a key player for Monte Vista: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 9-10 otherwise.
Even though they lost, Monte Vista smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. This was only their second loss (out of ten games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Yuma now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Monte Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
