Byron Kirkland-Lundy of
Metcalfe County (Edmonton, Ky.) ran for 490 yards and a state association record 10 touchdowns in a 70-44 shootout win over Clinton County on Friday.

Regardless of whether it's a record or not, Kirkland-Lundy's night was indeed special. The 5-foot-8, 166-pound back ran for four scores in the first half, including a 51-yard TD on a bullying run when he appeared to be stopped at the line of scrimmage.
In the third quarter, he scored on a 73-yard burst with 1:31 left in the period.
He scored four times in the final quarter on runs of 30, 26, 58, 7 yards.
In September, Kirkland-Lundy set the school record with 347 yards and five touchdowns on 16 attempts in a 34-20 win over Nelson County.
