J.F. Webb has gone a perfect 4-0 against Cedar Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Fighting Red Wolves at 5:00 p.m. J.F. Webb is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
J.F. Webb took a 19-run defeat the last time they faced off against South Granville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings on Thursday, sneaking past 8-7. The eight-run effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Simone Ovando, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Makayla Jennings was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Cedar Ridge and Western Alamance, and Western Alamance kept the tradition alive. The Fighting Red Wolves fell 8-3 to the Warriors on Thursday.
Cedar Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Best, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That double was Best's first of the season.
Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for J.F. Webb, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
Cedar Ridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: J.F. Webb has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Cedar Ridge, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given J.F. Webb's sizable advantage in that area, the Fighting Red Wolves will need to find a way to close that gap.
J.F. Webb got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2017 against Cedar Ridge by a conclusive 17-1 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Red Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
