Softball Recap: Montgomery Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Montgomery's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Calvin Cougars as they made off with an 11-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Montgomery is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Calvin, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery will square off against Florien at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calvin, they will face off against Georgetown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
