The Lexington Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to Odem for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-7 victory on the road. Considering Lexington has won four matches by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Lexington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Biehle, who picked up 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Biehle's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards. Kase Evans was another key contributor, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes.
Lexington is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Odem, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
Lexington will head out on the road to face off against Poth at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Poth comes in on 11 and Lexington on three. Odem does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
