The Overton Wolverines can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kingsbury 85-13 at home. Overton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Overton found their leader in underclassman Kierra Baldwin, who scored 27 points along with nine steals. Baldwin hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Nia Smith was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and five steals.
Overton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Kingsbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Overton will head out on the road to square off against Memphis Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memphis Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Kingsbury, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Whitehaven at 6:00 p.m. Whitehaven presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kingsbury in Tennessee (Whitehaven is ranked 34th, while Kingsbury is ranked 388th).
