After only two runs in their last match, Lampeter-Strasburg made sure to put some runs up on the board against Elizabethtown on Wednesday. The Pioneers were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bears. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.
Elizabethtown's batters probably weren't too happy with Devin Aponte, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (he gave up two walks). Aponte has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brady Scranton was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Leaman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Lampeter-Strasburg's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Elizabethtown, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.
