Softball Recap: Mishicot Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mishicot waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Reedsville Panthers get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. Considering the Indians have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kiran Sanford made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Mishicot got a massive performance out of Cooper Brouchoud, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that Brouchoud has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kaelin Adair, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Mishicot's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Reedsville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Mishicot will face off against Random Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Reedsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
