It was a good run, but the Waukegan Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 59-17 loss at the hands of Stevenson. While losing is never fun, Waukegan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Stevenson is ranked 120th).
Despite the loss, Waukegan saw an underclassman step up: Aaliaya Cade scored 8 points. Cade scored a full 47.1% of Waukegan's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Waukegan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Stevenson, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waukegan will take on Lake Zurich at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stevenson is on the road again on Friday and play against Libertyville at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Libertyville will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
