The Space Coast Vipers won the last time they faced the Cocoa Beach Minutemen, and things went their way on Thursday too. Space Coast walked away with a 62-49 victory over Cocoa Beach. With that victory, Space Coast brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Space Coast got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Layla Mangum out in front who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mangum has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Hill, who scored 12 points.
Space Coast's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Cocoa Beach, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Satellite the next time they take the court. Cocoa Beach will head out to face Satellite at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Space Coast will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
