The Bay City Blackcats will take on the Brazosport Exporters at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Bay City will be strutting in after a win while Brazosport will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Bay City made easy work of Wharton and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Blackcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-17.

Bay City relied on the efforts of Kolbie Davis, who had 17 kills and 13 digs, and Sasha Onwuchekwa, who had 12 digs, six kills, and six aces. That's the most kills Davis has posted since back in August. Kim Perez was another key player, getting 18 digs.
They weren't the only good servers: Bay City was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Brazosport came up short against El Campo on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Exporters in their meetings with the Ricebirds: they've now lost three in a row.
Brazosport started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-14, 25-10, 25-21.
Brazosport now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Bay City, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Bay City came out on top in a nail-biter against Brazosport when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Blackcats repeat their success, or do the Exporters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
