West Fork has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Green Forest Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully West Fork is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Green Forest in Arkansas (West Fork is ranked 110th, while Green Forest is ranked 224th).
West Fork suffered their biggest defeat yet this season two weeks ago. They took a serious blow against Bergman, falling 78-49.
Meanwhile, Green Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 50-39 to Elkins. Green Forest has not had much luck with Elkins recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brayden Compton, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Aaron Strain was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Green Forest were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 13th loss (out of 18 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
West Fork's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Green Forest, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
West Fork strolled past Green Forest when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 58-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Fork since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
